BEGINNING COMPUTER

MONDAY    STARTING APRIL 5, 2010 FOR 10 WEEKS    9:30 AM – 11:30 AM Cost $95

 

Still intimidated by the new machine? Would like to brush up or LEARN the very basics? This is the class for you! Whether you've been using a computer for some time, but don't REALLY know how to make it mind YOU OR you just got a new machine, this is the time to learn or brush up on your keyboarding skills. Need practice clicking the mouse and moving around the screen? In this class you will learn the computer keyboard keys and their functions. You will also increase your typing skills and become familiar with the basics of computers, what’s inside and how they work. There will be time for experimentation and play! This class covers the basics of personal computers, how to use a mouse, paint and draw using a PC, word processing basics, an introduction to the Internet & sending e-mails. This 10-week class starts 4/5/2010 at 9:30 AM and costs $95.00 for 20 hours of instruction.

 

MICROSOFT WORD  (BY YOUR REQUEST!)

Learn the basics and beyond of the most popular word-processing program.  Learn to set up the page, create a document, cut-copy or paste, print and save. Learn how to insert and manipulate pictures too.  Learn to set margins, tabs and page numbering. The class covers labels, text boxes, columns and tables.  We explain templates, saving to different devices and customizing Word.  We include keyboard shortcuts, inserting Excel documents, doing set up for book publishing and more on templates. Bullets and numbering will be covered.  Come and make word processing more than electronic typing! This 10-week class starts 4/6/2010 at 9:30 AM and costs $95.00 for 20 hours of instruction.

 
HOW TO USE YOUR DIGITAL CAMERA

TUESDAY   STARTING APRIL 6, 2010 FOR 10 WEEKS   11:45 AM-1:45 PM   Cost $95

 

Come join us for ten weeks of fun, learning to USE that new digital camera to its potential! We'll talk about the differences of digital camera formats, how photography with this new "gadget" is different from your old Brownie or Polaroid – AND how it is the same. Bring your camera, your camera book and plan to have fun! This class is designed for new (and almost new) users of digital cameras. However, if you haven't yet invested in a digital, come and learn which cameras work for YOUR purpose. We'll be discussing everything from aperture to white balance and all the fun in between. The class starts April 6, 2010 and runs for 10 weeks, two hours each week. The total cost for this class is $95.00 for 20 hours of instruction time. Looking FORWARD to seeing you there!

Using Adobe Photoshop Elements, you will learn to edit your images with the many selection tools, quickly adjust color and brightness with Photoshop Element's Quick Edit features, how to use brushes to gently fill in color and begin to use layers to create amazing composite images. You’ll learn need-to-know facts, helpful reminders, and alternate ways of doing things as well as errors and pitfalls to avoid. This class helps you make your money work for YOU!
